A New 'Do

I left Jay and Milan alone in the pool for two minutes and came back to a baby with a serious Mohawk! Milan did not seem to mind. She looks cute no matter what:)

Richman Baby Club

Richman School was very busy in the baby department last year. Four other teachers had babies and we get together once a month. The babies play and the mommies talk. In all honesty, the mommies with mobil babies really chase after them and if they are lucky they get a bite to eat! This last play date was at Main Place Mall. We ate and then went to the indoor playground. Unfortunately, Milan still does not really play with others. So, most of my pictures are of just her. We took pictures with all 5 babies, but I was too busy trying to keep Milan in place to snap any pictures myself. However, if you are interested in see the whole group in action (they are so cute), click here.

Making a Movie with Callan

Callan came over today to hang out. While Milan was taking a nap, Callan taught me how to draw Wall-e. We made 4 drawings. Callan drew some and so did I (although, you can't tell who drew what:).

The finished product is a movie with Callan narrating.

He really is a creative little guy!

Beach Baby

Jay took a half day today and we all went down to the beach. Milan did not seem too excited about the idea. She did not like the feel of the sand or the cold water. You can see in the pictures that when Jay tried to get her to touch the water, she arched her body as much as possible to get away from it. It was pretty much the same with the sand. She spent most of the time climbing on us as we laid out to get as far away from the sand as possible. Hopefully, she will eventually like the beach more because it is one of her dad's favorite places.

Mommy and Me Swim Lessons

Sorry it has been so long since the last post! Milan and I took two weeks of swim lessons at CSUF. Honestly, I thought we would get more out of it than we did. But, at least it was an excuse to get into the pool everyday. And, the last day, I got to walk with Milan out to the diving board and hand her to the instructor who was in the water. To Milan, it was uneventful, but a little scary for me! Here is a clip of some of what we did.

Back from the Big Apple

Jason and I had so much fun in NY City. We ate great food and took in the city. We took a red eye out there thinking we would have the entire day to sight-see. We ended up not feeling too well after the flight and opted not to go on the boat out to the Statue of Liberty. That night, we went to dinner in Little Italy.

The next day, our friends, Erik and Erin met us and we went to Yankee stadium to watch the Angels win. The stadium is really old, but it is still sad that a part of baseball history will be torn down after about 20 more home games:(

We saw Central Park, ate at Sparks Steak House and an old church that was converted into a pizza place. Of course, we also saw more than our fair share of New York bars. It was a lot of fun and a much needed get away.

Milan on the other hand was not as glad to have time away from us. She was really good for both her grandparents, but not too happy with us when we came home. She would not even look at me. When we got her home, she was crying hysterically and did not want to be picked up. When she would let me pick her up, she kept hitting her head on my shoulder. It was as if she missed us and was glad to see us, but at the same time was so angry she was beside herself. It was hard to watch, and we were thankful she felt better after about an hour and a half. Hopefully it will be better the next time we go and she can understand what is happening and that we will be back in a few days.

Cookie Milanster!

Enough said:)
