Hanging Out with Milan

I caught Milan in a good mood the other day while playing with her play dough. She spelled her name aloud for me and told me her last name. It is crazy to think of all the things she can do now that seemed so far away when she was born just 3 years ago. She is getting better at coloring and painting in the lines. She can roll out her own play dough and make shapes with the tools. She can get herself dressed (except putting her shirt over her head). She can ride her bike and is using her imagination more and more when playing. It is so clear to me that while having children is the toughest job there is, it is also the most rewarding!

Dean Shooting Hoops at 10 Months

Dean also got a little basketball hoop for Christmas. He really likes it and often looks at us after he makes a basket waiting for our praise and cheers. It is so cute how determined he is to get it in the hoop or the hole even when he is not as coordinated as he would like to be.

Christmas

Here's a peek of what Santa brought the kids this year:) Milan got a dollhouse with a few rooms, and a Jessie doll. Dean got a race track with 2 cars.

Milan still did not quite understand the whole idea of Santa Claus. I think she will get it next year.

Dean seemed very happy to get some new "boy toys".

Milan saw that Santa had eaten some of the cookies and drank the milk that was left for him.

Dean was clapping with his new toys!

Visit with Santa

Okay, so the one above is not from the visit with Santa, but I liked it and it did not go with any others - so I put it here. This is from a family birthday dinner where we celebrated my, Jay's, and Paula's (grandma's) birthdays.

Callan, Milan, and Dean waited for their visit with Santa.

As you can see, we waited for a long time;)

At last, we saw Santa! Dean did not know who was holding him at first. He was okay until he looked at Santa. I actually got a decent picture of them, but for some reason, something is wrong with it on my computer and would not post.

Here is a good one of the "big kids".
