La Habra Children's Museum

We had another fun Richman Play Date. We went to the La Habra Children's Museum. It was basically a room with toys children under 4 would enjoy using. I forgot my camera, and Sara was kind enough to get some pics of Milan and send them to me. You may notice that you don't see any of Milan's usual friends in the pics. As usual at this age, the babies tend to play by themselves. I just thought it was funny that I did not get one picture of her near any of her friends. More cute pics of Milan and her friends to come next month when I promise not to forget my camera.

They also had a puppet show. While we waited for it to start, Milan mixed with the crowd and thought she could entertain everyone with her clapping. She did a good job!
The guy who did the show was a little strange, but Milan liked the show. At one point, he brought the marianette up to her so she could touch it.

After the show, it was back to the room to play some more. Milan has so much fun. She fell asleep in the car on the way home. After lunch, she slept for 4 hours! I guess the museum wore her out.

Taylor's 1st Birthday

On Saturday, my friend Jennifer threw a 1st birthday party for her daughter, Taylor. It was fun and Milan got to hang out with her baby friends: Mia, Taylor, and Salvatore. Aren't they a cute bunch!

In the Buff

Our little monkey is at it again! Yesterday, we went to my friend, Stephanie's baby shower. Afterward, Jason was watching Milan as she was playing with a blanket we keep on our couch. She went under the blanket only to emerge with no dress on. After a few minutes, Jay put her down for a nap. When we went in to get her up, she was standing in her crib totally naked. She had taken off her diaper. I had to explain to Jay that this is the third time Milan has done this.

The last time she did it, she was wearing a long shirt. So, after her nap, I did not notice that she did not have a diaper on. I put her pants back on her and she played for about an hour and a half. I picked her up and she seemed really skinny. I then realized what had happened. I guess our little one does not like to wear clothes!

Ball Popping Fun

I took this clip of Milan and Callan the other day thinking that I could rotate the picture like you can a photograph. Apparently you can't. But, you get the picture:)

Ears Pierced

Jay and I decided to get Milan's ears pierced for her 1st birthday. On Labor Day, we took Milan to the indoor playground at Main Place Mall and decided to stop into Claire's and have them done. It was a little rough in the store as you may imagine. After the first ear, Milan was crying and the lady wanted to wait until she calmed down. We thought better and just wanted to get it over with. Anyway, here are a few pics of Milan in her new jewelry. Isn't she cute!

1st Birthday

I feel so bad that it has taken me 2 weeks to post Milan's birthday pics! For those of you who don't know, a few days before school started, I was moved from third to first grade. I also had to change classrooms. I have been busier than I have been in a long time!

Anyway, enough about me. On August 30th, our baby turned 1! We had a little get together at grandama Paula and grandpa Ron's. We had desserts and of course cake. There were baby toys and a pinata. But the hit of the party had to be the sprinkler! The older boys played in it and eventually a few babies too. It was fun to spend this milestone with family and friends. Thanks to all for the generous gifts and thoughful cards.

Little Monkey

Some of you may be asking why we call Milan, "Monkey". Well, we have called her it since she was a tiny baby. A friend of ours, Michelle called her it while she took Milan's pictures at just 5 days old. It stuck. Now, however, we have more reasons for the name. She likes to climb on everything. She has absolutely no fear. She climbs on the couches and thinks nothing of diving off of them. We are lucky we have been able to catch her every time so far. Her newest thing is to climb on the top of the back of the couch! Look what our Monkey can do:)
